Lake Kabetogama is located within a chain of border lakes and is surrounded by wilderness on all sides. The lake is also part of the Voyagers National Park located on the Minnesota and Ontario Border. Our secluded bay has lush vegetation and wilderness all around, with sixteen acres of land and nearly a quarter mile of shoreline!
There is plenty to do here at Northern Lights Resort & Outfitters, enough fun for the whole family! There is swimming and other aquatic activities out on the lake for the kids, scenic hiking and viewing locations for the whole family, and some of the best fishing in Minnesota for the fishermen in your family! With so much to choose from, your family should never be bored here!
Our cabins are fully equipped and comfortable! No matter how many people you are bringing with you, we likely have a cabin or group of cabins for you! Even if you want something small and affordable for a romantic getaway, we have that! Most of our cabins are even pet friendly so you can bring the whole family, including the beloved dog or cat!

Lovely lakeside cabin rentals with all the comforts of home on Lake Kabetogama in Voyageurs National Park. Many say we have the best location for walleye fishing in Minnesota!
From your dock, explore 65 miles of uninhabited, road-less wilderness waterways with hundreds of islands, coves, and rock bluffs. Be surrounded by wilderness in our secluded bay on 16 acres, with extensive shoreline. Our Lake Kabetogama (Ka-be-tow-ga-ma) is one of a chain of wilderness border lakes with majestic scenery and part of Voyageurs National Park on the Minnesota, Ontario border. Our award winning resort offers a variety of fishing and adventures for you to discover.
We offer excellent, high quality fishing and pontoon boats equipped with GPS for safe boating and excellent “fish finding.” Our resort grounds offer a sandy beach, floating waterpark and a private bay providing a safe harbor for boats.

The best dock fishing is in spring and fall, but our guests enjoy fishing off the dock all summer long too. We have several nice benches to kick-back and enjoy the sunset while luring in one more catch for the day. We have an extensive dock system located at our main Lodge and a boat slip comes free of charge with your cabin rental. Several of our cabins also have a “private dock” to enjoy the lake right out your cabin’s door. While staying at our Minnesota Family Vacation & Fishing Resort you capture great fish & great memories too!
We have the full schedule available in our lodge to help you plan your activities. These programs begin mid-June and continue through the end of August.

Situated along the U.S. – Canadian border, Kabetogama Lake has miles of pristine undeveloped shoreline, 25,000 acres of clean, cool water, and is one of four major lakes that make up Voyageurs National Park.
