Camping.
This region is well-known for it’s camping opportunities, and that’s for good reason. Kabetogama Lake serves as the gateway to Voyageurs National Park. With an expanse of wilderness upwards of millions of acres, so there’s no lack of land to explore.
Xxx Voyageurs National Park has more than 150 campsites available for use and Woodenfrog state Forest Campground adds another 50 rustic sites. Connected to our chain of lakes the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness adds another 2,000 or so campsites. On the Canadian side, Quetico Provincial Park offers an additional more than 2,200 campsites.
Kabetogama is fully open to mixed use both motorized boats and paddlers. If off the beaten path is what you’re after, we can help point you to both beautiful and safe boating routes.
If you’re looking for something a little less rustic and secluded, some of our neighboring Kabetogama Lake area resorts offer campgrounds, which are open to RV camping too. Note: Our FHU RV sites at Northern Lights Resort are currently dedicated to our seasonal staff housing at this time.
