Dining out or making meals at your cabin are both great options while on vacation. With fully equipped kitchens your cabin is more like a lake home and making meals is a budget friendly way to go too. Eating out is one of our favorite things to do around Lake Kabetogama to take a few hours away from the resort, relax and let someone else do the dishes.
Getting out on the water is the best way to get the most out of your experience in Voyageurs National Park, some of our favorite places to eat out are accessible by boat or by car! We have a few favorite local restaurants nearby or a short drive to choose from.

Kec’s Cove Restaurant and Bar is located in Kabetogama and 5 minutes from the resort (directions from resort ~10 min drive)

Frontier Restaurant & Bar (summer only) Stop in by boat or car for breakfast, lunch or dinner. On a hot day, come off the water for a slushy-ice drink (spiked or Shirley Temple Style). One of the best breakfast selections in the area and Steve says, “If you’ve never had an S.O.S. this is your chance.” (directions from resort ~25 min drive)
